A native of Durham, former educator, mom, local nonprofit leader, and life-long learner, Monica believes in the value of building reflective communities of families that can face daily struggles together.

In 2020, Monica became a Circle of Security - Parenting facilitator and she continues to pursue education by receiving her Level 1 trauma and resilience certificate in 2023 and by working toward endorsement with the NCIMHA
